Please follow these tips to get the most enjoyment out of your candle:

Wicks should be trimmed to 1/4" before the first use, and every use thereafter to minimize any sooting and remove any mushrooming caused by the previous burn.

When lighting the candle for the first time, allow the wax to pool all the way to the sides of the container. This not only gives you the maximum fragrance, but also prevents the candle from "tunneling". In future uses, the pool quickly reestablishs to the edge of the container, allowing the wax to cleanly burn all the way down, leaving the sides of the container with a minimum amount of wax residue.

Be sure to discontinue use once there is 1/4" of wax remaining at the bottom of the container.
